The review process
Every health article is reviewed for accuracy before publication, in three steps. First, the research team drafts content with citations from PubMed, FDA.gov, and manufacturer data — the same primary-source hierarchy that governs the sources page. Second, Dr. Goher reviews the draft for medical accuracy, flags inaccuracies, and verifies clinical claims against FDA-approved labeling and the peer-reviewed literature. Third, the content is published with its "Medically Reviewed" credit and last-reviewed date, and any subsequent material change to a clinical claim triggers re-review, logged in corrections.
What is and isn't medically reviewed
Articles making clinical, dosing, safety, or efficacy claims carry the medical review credit. Pricing pages, provider records, and computed rankings make no clinical claims; they are verified by the research desk under the methodology — capture dates, source links, and verification statuses — rather than medically reviewed. Both processes are real, and neither is used to imply the other.
